We moved to Boca Raton for a few reasons: to be close to my grandparents who were living in Delray Beach, to be close to my aunt and uncle in Boynton Beach, and most importantly, for the highly rated Boca Raton Schools.

Our children have done very well in the public schools in Boca Raton. We moved a couple of times and some of the school boundaries shifted while the kids were attending, so we have experience with several of the schools. All had excellent administrations, parents actively involved in the parent teacher organizations, and devoted teachers.
We support several schools with fundraisers through the Boca Flower Stand, a family business. I have served for years on the Spanish River High School Career Academies Advisory Board.

School & FAU High School are situated on the Florida Atlantic University Campus in Boca Raton. A.D Henderson is a kindergarten through 8th grade laboratory school. Admission is lottery based. Our daughter Gwen is currently attending FAU High School. This is an excellent program for high academic achievers who wish to attend college courses on the FAU campus to simultaneously fulfill high school and undergraduate requirements. Whispering Pines Elementary School Our niece and nephew went to Whispering Pines and did very well. Sunrise Park Elementary School is a newer elementary school at the west end of Yamato Road across from Saturnia. Our son Alex went there the year it opened, when Mr. Goldstein was Principal. We used to love to go to storytime. Mr. Goldstein came to our house to read a story one night as an award for Alex! Sunrise Park is in zip code 33498.

School is a highly-sought magnet school. Open houses for the school always draw a large crowd. Admission is lottery based.
